


Breakfast
Lebanese
coffee is served, but in certain cases this is generally preceded by a glass
of water.
Lebanese bread is placed on the table together with small dishes of fried
eggs, zaatar, olives and various cheese dishes
Mezza (hors d'
oeuvres)
This
is served as starters at the beginning of the meal, and is normally served
with drinks. It consists of a varieties of cheeses, pickles, olives, nuts,
tabouleh, dips (eg.tahini), Savoury pastries.
Alcoholic drinks are generally served with mezza.
Mezza is sometimes eaten as the main meal.
Main
Courses
Usually
consists of a meat dish (eg. kibbeh)
Kibbeh : is the national dish of Lebanon. It is generally made from
leg of mutton. It is a mixture of finely ground meat, mixed with burghul
(crushed wheat). Onion is usually placed on or around the kibbeh, and a
hot (chilli) sauce is offered with it.
Tabouleh (which is a type a salad)

Vegetables
At
the end of the meal
Fruit is sometimes offered at the end of the meal, and this is
followed a little while later by Lebanese coffee (ah'weh) with Lebanese
sweets (eg. namoura, b'clerwa)

clove of garlic
1/4 teaspoom of sea salt
1 cup of tahini
1/2 cup lemon juice
grind the garlic and salt to a paste
add in the tahini and lemon juice
Add water to slightly thinnen to a paste of the same viscosity as mayonaise.
